Cardboard Signs

There something humbling and I dare even say sentimental about a cardboard sign. It's so plain and brown, folded in whatever way, and frayed at the edges. The simplicity of marker on cardboard attracts me unlike any other fancy, flashy neon sign. It's dull and it's boring. Yet I care to read it more than anything else. Why? Well I think it's the idea of human touch, that some person handwrote a message on that cardboard. It's almost like a piece of them, a glimpse into their desires and goals.

Yes that means homeless and begging signs too.
