I'm not sure what it is about the Eiffel Tower, but everyone loves it. It's that one landmark, monument, tourist place, however you think of it, that seems to resonate in people's mind. It's a symbol of Europe, more so than Big Ben, the Coliseum, the Louvre, etc. It's a representation of romance, of elegance, of a historical beauty that continues to hold the same allure. Therefore, more than any other item, I have seem the Eiffel Tower in so many vintage pastel photos, and as the model for so many trinkets.
